Week of April 11th - 17th is Missouri Botanical Gardens Volunteer Appreciation Week.
Starting today, April 21st, we volunteers were able to visit the Gatehouse for the first time!
View the Cleveland Avenue Gatehouse (which is not open to the public). Constructed in 1895 the Gatehouse was designed by St. Louis architect George I Barnett. Built in accordance with Henry Shaw's will, the Gatehouse was created as a residence for the groundskeeper of the Mausoleum area, Museum Building, and surrounding area now part of the Victorian Area.
Enjoy the photos and flowers in bloom.
